Welcome to my Online Gallery !

I live on Salt Spring Island, in BC, Canada.

I have been creating one of a kind jewelry out of sterling silver and semi precious gem stones since 1985 and for over 30 years I sold through our local Saturday Market. I still attend occasionally but now sell mainly online.

You may enjoy checking out my online store!

IMPORTANT WARNING

My ETSY shop which is accessible through both of the links directly above, on this page, is the only place on line where I am currently selling my work.

In December 2011 some images of my work and the item descriptions that were in a craft marketing website, were briefly pirated by a number of websites in China, which were impersonating my business.

If someone attempts to contact me or buy one of my pieces through any website other than Etsy, they will not receive a piece of my work.

Been Busy Learning New Techniques!

Wow, I have seriously neglected this blog!

I began this blog when I first started selling online, and even though it has only been 4 years, it has been a steep learning curve!

One of the great things about having part of my business online is this has allowed me to participate in an online  community of jewelers who have been very helpful in showing me many small ways I can improve or expand my skills, I can now hunt down stones I really like, learn about tools I never knew existed and find you tube videos demonstrating how to use them.

The new technique I am most excited about is etching. All of a sudden there is a whole new world of design and textures I can add to sterling.

Here is one example
And here is another

My only problem is I love playing with this new technique so much, it is hard to pull myself away!

Another new technique I am enjoying is flush setting stones so the stone is inside the metal. There is something really satisfying about this, and it sometimes allows me to fit a stone into a design without disrupting the lines of the design.

Here is an example
